Comedian Jeong Cheol-gyu denies assault allegations against Ryu Dam, Kim Jin-cheol and Noh Woo-jin

Comedian Jeong Cheol-gyu, who gained fame through his 'Blanca' character, has personally stepped forward to shut down online speculation regarding the identities of the senior comedians alleged to have assaulted him. Following his disclosure of the victimization, several comedians' names began to circulate online; Jeong provided specific clarifications to ensure that individuals unrelated to the incident do not suffer further harm.

On the 25th, the first episode of 'Miki's Guesthouse,' titled 'Special Recruit Comedian Blanca!! Stories we couldn't tell on broadcast!! And a healing trip to Jeju Island!!', was released on Miki Kwang-soo's YouTube channel.

During the episode, Miki Kwang-soo referenced the 'Namu Miki Detective Agency' content in which Jeong had previously appeared, noting, "Some news articles have come out recently truly regarding this matter.'

In that previous content, Jeong claimed he was subjected to continuous bullying by a senior comedian who was in the same agency during his prime. He drew significant attention by revealing he was indiscriminately assaulted inside a vehicle, highlighting the hierarchical atmosphere of the broadcasting industry at the time.

As his remarks were reported in the news, inquiries regarding the identity of the perpetrator followed immediately. "I received many calls from comedians. About 20 people contacted me asking who it was," Jeong stated, adding, "Two close associates kept asking, so I only told those two, and I told the other 18 that it was a matter of the past."

Regarding his decision not to disclose the individual's identity, Jeong said, "Because that person also has to live their life." This suggests that while he is disclosing his past trauma, he does not wish to escalate the incident in a way that destroys the social standing and livelihood of the other person today.

However, following the broadcast, the names of specific comedians began to be mentioned online. Miki Kwang-soo indirectly explained that the individual in question does not currently participate in broadcasting or YouTube activities, noting that the production team had edited the relevant content.

In response, Jeong said, "KBS comedians would likely know, but comedians from other networks probably wouldn't. Since the broadcast, people keep commenting that the three are senior Ryu Dam, senior Kim Jin-cheol, and even Noh Woo-jin."

He made it clear that he hopes their names will no longer be incorrectly linked to the incident.

Jeong firmly stated, "It is not those three," and explained the reasons for each. Regarding Ryu Dam, he stated, "I have almost never had a conversation with him," and regarding Kim Jin-cheol, he said, "He is close to me, and he is a hyung I still see occasionally."

He also denied the suspicions regarding Noh Woo-jin, saying, "He cannot be the one who hit me because he is my junior. And he is a friend." He repeatedly urged, "I hope no unnecessary misunderstandings arise."

These remarks are interpreted as a measure to prevent unverified speculation from leading to secondary victimization, separate from the original issue of the past assault. Since secondary issues such as defamation can arise if individuals identified through online communities are unrelated to the actual incident, it is necessary to distinguish between the victim's testimony and third-party speculation.

Jeong entered the broadcasting industry through special recruitment rather than the standard KBS comedian open recruitment, gaining public recognition for his 'Blanca' character on 'Pokso Club.' While he was highly popular at the time for his unique way of speaking and satirical character, he is now drawing attention again by revealing the experiences behind his glamorous prime.

Speaking about past victimization and pointing to a specific person as the perpetrator are separate issues. As Jeong has personally denied any connection to the three individuals mentioned, observers note that unverified speculations must not be allowed to spread as fact.
