Heo Kyung-hwan Gets a Height-Reveal Twist: Not 168.2 cm, but 169.7 cm
On KBS2's "Gag Concert," Heo Kyung-hwan drew laughs when an onstage measurement showed his height was 169.7 cm, above his listed 168.2 cm.
Heo Kyung-hwan turned his height into the punchline on KBS2's "Gag Concert" on the 7th, delivering a surprise that played against his own profile. The Korean comedian appeared as the defendant in the "Public Trial" segment, where he was put on trial under the comic charge of "illegally spreading catchphrases."

During the "Public Trial" corner, Jung Beom-gyun, appearing as the prosecutor, challenged the height listed on Heo Kyung-hwan's profile. He claimed that the stated figure of 168.2 cm was not true, setting up the segment's courtroom-style gag around whether the number could withstand public scrutiny.
The "Public Trial" team ultimately decided to measure Heo Kyung-hwan's height on the spot. To make the result appear as strict as possible, they had him remove both his shoes and socks before standing him at the height-measuring device. The audience, watching with sharp eyes, pointed out that he seemed to be rising onto his toes and demanded a more rigorous measurement.
Even after removing his socks, Heo Kyung-hwan went further and rolled up his pants as the segment continued to press the joke. The measurement then revealed an unexpected result: his height was 169.7 cm, taller than the 168.2 cm written on his profile.
The twist surprised not only his fellow comedians but Heo Kyung-hwan himself, and the audience responded with applause. The crowd also jokingly cheered on the idea that a growth spurt had arrived for him later in life.
Heo Kyung-hwan, born in 1981 in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, debuted in 2006 and has continued to appear steadily on "Gag Concert" and various entertainment programs. Recently, he has appeared on "Hangout with Yoo," "My Little Old Boy" and "Choiwoosusan," building his presence as a major variety entertainer.
