Hong Seok-cheon Reveals Past Relationship: American Ex-Partner Lived with His Acquaintance After Receiving Alimony

Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon revealed his past dating history on a YouTube channel, including a period of living with a foreign partner for four years and even providing alimony.

When the production team asked if he is currently single, Hong Seok-cheon boasted about his ongoing romantic life, stating, "I am single, but I am always dating. It seems like the duration of my relationships increases as I get older."

In response to the question, "Doesn't getting entangled in many things happen when you merge households and date for a long time?" he revealed his past experiences of living with foreign partners, saying, "That's true. I have experienced all of that."

He recalled the situation during a breakup, noting that his first partner was Dutch and saying, "We lived together for 3 years and 6 months. But when we broke up and they were leaving, they wrote down a list of items they brought and searched for them."

He then shared a shocking story about his second partner: "The second partner was American. We lived together for 4 years and then broke up, and they asked for alimony. They were asking for alimony for the 4 years we lived together."

He expressed how much he loved them, saying, "At that time, I gave some alimony. I gave it because they were someone I loved and because I was grateful they were by my side during hard times."

However, a bitter twist awaited after the breakup. He revealed the unexpected conclusion, saying, "Afterward, they moved to Nonhyeon-dong on a lease and were living with a new man. That person was also someone I knew."

Hong Seok-cheon was the first Korean celebrity to proudly come out as gay in 2000.
