I Am SOLO's Ok-sun and Yeong-su announce engagement in Malaysia

Ok-sun and Yeong-su, participants from Season 30 of 'I Am SOLO', have officially announced their engagement, promising to marry.

On the 18th, the couple released a video titled 'Ok-su-dong Couple is Stopping Dating' on their YouTube channel 'Ok-su-dong Couple,' revealing the scene of the proposal.

The video captures the couple on a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Yeong-su planned the trip as a special itinerary for the proposal, meticulously preparing a watch to present as a gift.

However, an unexpected hurdle arose at the very start of the trip. Yeong-su was flustered when the watch intended for the proposal was caught in airport customs, leaving him anxious that his plans might be exposed. Unaware of the situation, Ok-sun waited alone, and Yeong-su narrowly overcame the crisis before continuing the trip as planned.

On the third day of the trip, Yeong-su took Ok-sun to a reserved restaurant. He expressed his sincerity by presenting a handwritten letter, which moved Ok-sun to tears and smiles as she read it.

Following this, Yeong-su presented the watch. Upon seeing the gift, Ok-sun jokingly asked, "Shouldn't you be kneeling to give it to me?" to which Yeong-su responded shyly, "I really can't do that. I absolutely cannot," drawing laughter from the couple.

After receiving the gift, Ok-sun's eyes welled up with tears as she said, "Thank you," before asking for confirmation, "Are we really getting married? Did you just propose to me?"

Yeong-su replied sincerely, "You have to marry me," and Ok-sun responded, "Of course," accepting his proposal.

Even after the proposal, Ok-sun remained moved, reading the handwritten letter from Yeong-su several times. Yeong-su expressed his satisfaction with the successful surprise, stating, "This trip was an itinerary prepared from beginning to end for this proposal."

The two met through the final selection on Season 30 of the ENA and SBS Plus dating reality program 'I Am SOLO.' Having become a real-life couple following the broadcast, they have enjoyed steady popularity under the nickname 'Ok-su-dong Couple.' With this proposal, they have officially announced their new beginning together.
