'I Am Solo' Season 32's Young-sook: Why Did She Stand Up Sang-cheol for Their Date?

On the June 10 broadcast of the SBS Plus and ENA variety dating program 'I Am Solo,' the show's Season 32 'dolsing special,' focused on divorced singles, took an unexpected turn when cast member Sang-cheol was selected for a gwiin date and waited with high expectations, only to be stood up by Young-sook.

Sang-cheol waited at the agreed meeting place, but when the scheduled time of 9 a.m. passed and his date still had not appeared, his expression grew visibly anxious. He eventually asked the production crew, "How long am I supposed to wait? Was this actually not happening?" It was the first time on the broadcast that the person chosen for a gwiin date had disappeared, and even the studio MCs were caught off guard. Looking baffled, they reacted, "Huh? Can someone just not come out? She didn't come out?"

The missing gwiin turned out to be Young-sook. The MCs were even more puzzled because she had previously said that she did not sleep very much. They remarked in surprise, "It's Young-sook? She even said she doesn't really sleep much." The reason, however, was soon revealed: despite multiple alarms ringing, Young-sook had not managed to wake up. The MCs burst into laughter, saying, "Isn't this a first? This is the first time in Solo Country that someone has been stood up by their gwiin."

Sang-cheol responded with an empty laugh as he looked at the situation in disbelief. "No, it clearly says, 'Congratulations,' but is this really something to congratulate me for?" he said. In a separate interview, he vented his frustration, adding, "Are they making fun of me? What exactly am I being congratulated for? I was dumbfounded, speechless, and honestly a little flustered."

Although Sang-cheol had won the date, he ultimately ended up eating alone. Meanwhile, Young-sook finally woke up at 9:40 a.m., checked the time, and was left at a loss, saying, "This is driving me crazy."
