Jun Hyun-moo, KwakTube and Lee Si-eon’s First Stop Together in Gochang Is a Pork Belly Restaurant

On the June 5 broadcast of MBN and Channel S’s “Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3,” actor Lee Si-eon shared a personal story about his wife, Seo Ji-seung, and the reaction his father had when he heard the couple were expecting a child. Lee said, “When I told him that my wife Seo Ji-seung was pregnant, my father was so happy that he danced. I did not know he was someone who could dance.”

Jun Hyun-moo opened the episode by introducing the appeal of a region known for bokbunja and eel, signaling the start of a full-scale food-focused trip. However, the first restaurant he visited with KwakTube, whose real name is Kwak Jun-bin, was, unexpectedly, a Chinese restaurant. The two stopped there to try a distinctive menu item that allowed diners to enjoy jajangmyeon and a bibim-style jjamppong together in one dish.

The restaurant owner recognized Jun Hyun-moo warmly and brought out a photo from a previous visit Jun had made with Lee Yoon-seok. The unexpected reminder of that earlier visit turned the room into a scene of laughter. Afterward, the group enjoyed the restaurant’s unusual jjam-jja-myeon and sweet-and-sour pork filled with a strong fire-grilled aroma, responding with admiration as they ate.

After the meal, Jun Hyun-moo offered a hint about the guest who would join them that day, saying, “He is an actor from Gyeongsang Province.” KwakTube immediately guessed the answer: Lee Si-eon. Lee then appeared in person, bringing dumplings and steamed buns that he had prepared himself.

The three next headed to a restaurant specializing in samgyeopsal, where the meat is grilled over a wood-burning stove. After tasting the thick pork belly, Lee Si-eon repeatedly expressed how impressed he was. KwakTube looked pleased by Lee’s honest reaction, and Jun Hyun-moo agreed, saying, “Si-eon has always been honest.”

The episode also revealed changes in Lee Si-eon’s daily habits. Lee said he had continued to take care of his body through steady exercise and by cutting back on alcohol. After fully enjoying the samgyeopsal and then fried rice, the three moved on to another restaurant to try freshwater eel, one of Gochang’s representative foods.

At the time of filming, Lee Si-eon was awaiting the birth of his child. He said, “The due date is June 1. We still have not decided on the baby’s name.” Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube responded by suggesting various possible names.

Lee also voiced concern for his wife as his work schedule was about to become busy. “Drama filming is starting soon, and I have to go out five days a week,” he said. He added, “My father’s energy is different when he talks to my wife on the phone. He said he was so happy about the pregnancy that he danced. I did not know my father was someone who could dance.” Through the story, Lee showed just how eagerly his father had been waiting for a grandchild.

Lee Si-eon and Seo Ji-seung welcomed a healthy son on May 26. Lee expressed his joy by saying, “The son we had long hoped for, Tae-geon, has arrived on planet Earth. Since you were born, just grow up healthy.” Lee Si-eon and Seo Ji-seung married in 2021.
