Trend Killer Jun Hyun-moo apologizes to RESCENE over 'Yahoo' trend
Entertainer Jun Hyun-moo earns the 'Trend Killer' nickname after his unique take on girl group RESCENE's 'Yahoo' trend during his trip to Kazakhstan.
Entertainer Jun Hyun-moo has once again brought laughter by interpreting the 'Yahoo' trend, recently popularized by girl group RESCENE, in his own unique way. The scene unfolded when the cast teased Jun, calling him a 'Trend Killer' for his habit of reinterpreting various trends in unconventional ways to create buzz.

In the episode of MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone' aired on the 21st, Jun was shown enjoying the nature of Kazakhstan during his trip.
Having traveled to Kazakhstan without any specific plans, Jun visited Lake Kolsay and continued his journey even under tight circumstances as he prepared to head to the airport to return home. He traveled all the way to Lake Kaindy, which was in the opposite direction of the airport, just to see it.
While traveling, Jun discovered a valley, pulled his car over, and took a moment to enjoy nature. After tasting the seemingly clear valley water, he expressed his admiration for the taste, saying, "I guess horses don't poop around here."
However, the situation took a turn when Gu Seong Hwan, watching from the studio, shared based on his own experience in Kazakhstan that there is actually a lot of cow dung around valleys. Jun drew laughter by splashing the valley water on himself and enjoying a swim without properly checking the water quality or the surrounding environment.
Upon hearing the sounds Jun made while playing in the water, Kim Shin-young burst into laughter again, pointing out, "Why does your voice sound so feminine?"
After finishing his swim, Jun stepped out of the water and suddenly shouted "Kazakh Yahoo!" to express his excitement from the trip.
The issue was that 'Yahoo' had recently been gaining attention as a popular catchphrase through RESCENE. Upon seeing Jun shouting RESCENE's 'Yahoo,' Kim Shin-young and Park Ji-hyun immediately reacted, saying, "The 'Yahoo' trend is over." It was a joke implying that Jun typically parodies original trends by absorbing them and processing them through his own unique style.
As if conscious of his 'Trend Killer' image, Jun made the set erupt in laughter by apologizing, saying, "RESCENE, I'm sorry."
Recently, Jun has been creating laughter by quickly absorbing trending words, actions, and fashion in variety shows, then reprocessing them with exaggerated reactions and a unique character. This goes beyond simply following trends; it is akin to a form of self-parody where he converts them into his own variety-show grammar.
This 'Kazakh Yahoo' instance also created another memorable moment by combining the spontaneity of his trip with Jun's signature exaggerated reactions. In the studio, the nickname 'Trend Killer' was once again summoned the moment Jun adopted RESCENE's trend, adding to the laughter.
