Kang Ye-won Says, "I Got Plastic Surgery Because of You"; Friend Replies, "I Said Just Once"
On SBS's My Little Old Boy, Kang Ye-won joked with her longtime roommate about cosmetic surgery and later cried over her late father's debt.
Actor Kang Ye-won appeared in the preview for next week's episode of SBS's variety show "My Little Old Boy," released on June 7, and was shown breaking down in tears after learning about debt left behind by her late father.
Kang was introduced as a new member of "My Little Old Boy." In the footage, she opened up her everyday life without makeup and brought laughter with an easygoing manner that showed little concern for the cameras around her.
One exchange that drew particular attention was her conversation with a roommate she has lived with for nearly 20 years. As Kang brought up the subject of cosmetic surgery, she asked, "Didn't I get epicanthoplasty because of you?" Her friend denied the "charge," replying, "I told you to do it only once. You kept doing it."
Kang then admitted the truth candidly. "That's right. You told me absolutely not to do it, but I secretly went and had it done," she said.
The preview also showed Kang meeting with a lawyer to hear an explanation about debt related to her father, who died in late April. She was stunned when the lawyer told her, "Your father has debt of 1.0 to 1.1 billion won." Kang could not hide her shock at the amount.
Kang asked, "Do I have to pay it back right now, within May?" The lawyer answered, "Can you pay it back now? It could increase further."
In the end, Kang shed tears. Her full story will be revealed on June 14.
