Kangnam Suffers Herniated Disc While Putting on Socks; Tells Lee Sang Hwa 'No Exercise Allowed'

Singer and entertainer Kangnam halted filming and underwent a medical procedure due to a back injury.

On the 4th, a video titled 'We finally stopped filming... The story of how I ended up in the operating room' was released on the YouTube channel ‘Dongne Chingu Kangnami’.

Kangnam visited the hospital complaining of extreme back pain. He confessed, “I was putting on my socks when my back hurt. Even so, I went running. When I woke up in the morning, something felt strange. I suspect my disc might have burst.”

Unable to walk properly due to the pain, he went to the hospital for an examination, and the results were serious. The doctor asked, “I see you had an MRI taken at our hospital before. The disc had burst. Did you not receive any treatment? Did it not hurt?” To which Kangnam replied, “I didn't do anything. I was scared.”

Regarding the results of the re-examination, the doctor explained, “As the disc melted, a fluid sac formed. It is pressing on the nerve,” and recommended injection therapy. He added that if it is not effective, he would need to undergo surgery to remove it and be hospitalized.

After visiting the operating room for treatment, Kangnam self-deprecatingly joked, “I screamed quite a lot. I am the worst kind of patient.” Having previously disliked exercise, he called his wife, Lee Sang Hwa, and said, “The doctor says I absolutely cannot go running for three months,” wearing an expression of relief despite the misfortune.

After returning home, he lay on the sofa while filming and apologized, saying, “Everyone, I am sorry for filming in this state.”
