MBC 'Radio Star' achieves viewership rating triple crown

MBC's 'Radio Star' has once again proven its status as the powerhouse of Wednesday night variety programming by capturing both massive buzz and high viewership ratings.

Broadcast on the 29th, 'Radio Star' drew significant interest with its 'Miracle Las' special featuring Yoon Mira, Kangnam, Han Da-gam, and Park Ji-hyun. The episode recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.8% and a 4.0% viewership rating in the Seoul metropolitan area (based on Nielsen Korea), ranking first in its time slot. Furthermore, it achieved a 'Triple Crown' by also reaching the top in the 2049 viewership rating.

The peak viewership rating for the episode soared to 5.0%. Kangnam captured the audience's attention when he shared behind-the-scenes stories regarding singer Ha Ji-won's past 'Home Run' performance, which marked the moment of the highest instantaneous viewership rating.

Actress Yoon Mira, appearing on her first variety talk show 58 years after her debut, made a strong impression with her characteristically calm and straightforward wit. Revealing that the first video on her recently launched YouTube channel recorded approximately 2 million views, she drew laughter by sharing an episode where she even went as far as doing a swimsuit photoshoot for her subscribers.

Kangnam shared various stories, ranging from anecdotes involving his wife Lee Sang Hwa to his collection of rare Pokemon cards. He revealed that he completed an Arctic marathon thanks to Lee Sang Hwa's rigorous training and surprised the cast by revealing a rare Pokemon card currently valued at 11 million won.

Han Da-gam spoke candidly about her journey of successfully becoming pregnant on her first attempt at IVF. Preparing for her upcoming delivery this September after becoming pregnant at age 47, she gained deep empathy by sharing how she spent about two years since age 44 managing her health and practicing transcription to prepare her body and mind.

Park Ji-hyun stirred the studio with an unusual personal talent: cleaning skate fish while wearing an eye mask.
