Kim Yong-bin wary of Hwang Garam's trot debut on 'Miss Trot For You'

Singer Hwang Garam, who gained widespread recognition with "I Am a Firefly," is making his first foray into the trot genre, prompting even established trot singer Kim Yong-bin to express wariness. Interest is surging to see if Hwang's versatile vocal abilities can successfully translate to the trot stage.

In the 18th episode of TV CHOSUN's "Miss Trot For You," scheduled to air on the 10th, the 'Crazy Presence' special finals will take place. Following the preliminary round where the 'Music Release Beauty' team of Yoon Yun-seo and Hwang Garam took first place, Hwang will step onto the trot stage in earnest alongside Yoon, performing Na Hoon-A's "Mushiro."

Hwang's appearance has brought a unique sense of tension to existing trot singers. After watching the performance, current 'Jin' (winner) Kim Yong-bin jokingly remarked, "I can't even imagine how far he will go if he studies trot," adding, "I hope he doesn't appear on 'Mr. Trot 4.' I feel like our spots might disappear." While the comment was a playful jab at a competitor, it serves as high praise for Hwang's potential to master the genre.
