Lee Ji-hye moves to new home, discards 5 tons of waste

Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye has shared an update on her recent move to a new home. She candidly opened up about the difficulties of the moving process, revealing that she discarded as much as 5 tons of waste following a massive cleanup.

On the 22nd, Lee posted several photos on her social media (SNS) with the caption, "Our changes, and lately. Our family is settling in step by step amidst many changes like moving. I love you."

The photos capture her daily life as she begins organizing belongings in her new residence. The images of her sorting through books, kitchenware, and household items vividly convey the family's busy efforts to adapt to their new environment.

Lee revealed that she conducted a large-scale cleanup during the transition.

She drew attention by stating, "We produced 5 tons of trash just from throwing things away," adding, "Items that are still usable were sent to those in need through the secondhand trading platform 'Danggeun.'" She noted that rather than simply disposing of everything, she sought new owners for reusable goods.

The living room of her new home, which was previously revealed, also garnered significant attention. The interior, which combines an open sense of space with modern decor reminiscent of a hotel, drew reactions such as "It looks like a luxury hotel" and "The atmosphere is so good."

Last year, Lee revealed her approximately 80-pyeong apartment located in Apgujeong and spoke candidly about the realistic economic burden of such a lifestyle.

At the time, she gained sympathy by saying, "To live in a house like this, I really have to work without resting from broadcasting," and "I have to work 365 days a year like a factory running. I have to keep running thinking I am an AI."

Her honest discussion regarding the need to work constantly to maintain a luxurious home drew responses such as, "Celebrities are ultimately no different from office workers."

Having started a new chapter in her new space, Lee expressed her unchanging affection for her family-centered life. Despite the massive cleanup and environmental changes, she conveyed her excitement for the new beginning, describing her family as "settling in step by step."
