Lee Yoon-jin shares pride in daughter So-eul's academic success
Interpreter Lee Yoon-jin expresses overwhelming pride as her daughter So-eul excels in school after transitioning from an overseas environment to Korea.
Interpreter and broadcaster Lee Yoon-jin expressed overwhelming emotion regarding the remarkable growth of her daughter, So-eul, who has successfully adapted to a new school in Korea. While there were significant concerns regarding the transition from an overseas academic environment to Korea, So-eul not only completed her first semester successfully but also earned various awards and was elected class vice president, fueling her mother's pride.

On the 21st, Lee shared a long post along with photos of her daughter's school life via social media (SNS).
She began by saying, "When we returned to Seoul, there was only one thing I wished for So-eul: that she would manage her school life smoothly without any issues."
She then candidly shared her complex feelings at the time, stating, "For a child who adapted exceptionally well to foreign schools and had a smooth experience in both studies and school life, telling her she had to start over in a new environment in Korea was what I felt most sorry and fearful about as a mother."
Lee also confessed that she was unable to devote enough time to her children due to overlapping schedules after returning to the country.
"After returning to Seoul, with the task of introducing Potato Head to Korea, personal home renovations, and moving all overlapping, I couldn't take care of the children as meticulously as before," she revealed. "Despite that, So-eul finished her first semester truly wonderfully."
She could not hide her pride, adding, "Seeing her independently think through and accomplish everything—from her studies and school life to band activities and even being elected as a class officer for the second semester—made me feel truly grateful and proud."
She then shared her affectionate feelings, saying, "Now it is vacation time. Let's attend vacation special lectures diligently and go on a K-trip with Mom and Da-eul. Our So-eul is a wonderful person who can be recognized anywhere and carve out her own path. Seeing her remain unshaken, I, as her mother, am actually the one learning more from her. Mom will always support So-eul's dreams."
The released photos drew attention as they included various certificates and appointment letters So-eul received at school.
In particular, So-eul was elected class vice president for the second semester and received an appointment letter. Her outstanding academic achievements were also revealed, including perfect scores in both Chinese and Social Studies during final exams.
As news spread of her being recognized in academics, school life, and club activities, many netizens sent their support, commenting, "Mom has every reason to be proud," "It's admirable to see her adapt so well even when the environment changes," "A true success in parenting," "So-eul is growing up so capably," and "It seems like Mom's support has been a great strength."
Lee married actor Lee Beom-soo in 2010 and has one son and one daughter; they finalized their mutual divorce early this year. She currently lives in Seoul with her children while balancing work as an interpreter and broadcaster. Recently, she has been receiving much empathy and support by steadily sharing her children's growth and daily lives.
