Lee Young-ji Says Shin Min-a Has Comedy Ambitions; Shin Says People Do Not Understand Her Offbeat Humor
Shin Min-a shared her appearance on Lee Young-ji's web variety show Nothing Much Prepared and discussed her offbeat comedy style.
Actor Shin Min-a revealed on June 22 through her Instagram account that she had met singer Lee Young-ji, sharing an update from her guest appearance on the web variety show "Nothing Much Prepared," also known as "No Prepare."

Shin introduced the appearance with the playful remark, "See? It is funny!" She also expressed affection for the program by writing, "Cha-jwi-bbul, I love you," using the show's abbreviated Korean-style title in romanized form. Addressing host Lee Young-ji, she added, "Thank you for the MZ photos," showing appreciation for the pictures Lee took of her.
When Shin Min-a appeared at the recording site, Lee Young-ji reportedly stepped backward and then became like a shy girl, keeping her mouth tightly shut. Lee, who is usually known on the show for her loud and easygoing energy, appeared overwhelmed by Shin's beauty and seemed visibly intimidated in the moment.
During their conversation, Lee Young-ji told Shin Min-a, "You are the type who has a lot of ambition for comedy." Shin agreed with the comment and showed a genuinely quirky side of herself, saying, "People do not really understand my jokes."
Shin continued to describe her own offbeat sense of humor, saying that whenever she goes to a new filming set, she tries to lead the atmosphere, but there are moments when the mood suddenly turns cold. Her explanation again highlighted the "four-dimensional" comedy style she believes others often fail to catch.
Shin Min-a is currently awaiting the release of the film "Nundongja." The thriller follows Seo-jin, who is losing her sight because of a hereditary disease, as she begins to question the death of her twin younger sibling Seo-in. While digging into the mystery, Seo-jin eventually comes face to face with a shocking truth.
