Kim Woo-bin's Wife Shin Min-a Says the Signals Relationships Send to the Body Matter

Kim Woo-bin's wife Shin Min-a spoke about the importance of recognizing the signals that relationships send to the body, in remarks attributed to AM Entertainment.

On the 19th, Shin Min-a appeared on the YouTube channel Nothing Much Prepared. During the conversation, Lee Young-ji asked her when a person can feel certain that they should marry someone. Shin replied, “Personally, I think the later marriage happens, the better.”

Shin explained that her point was not that people should simply meet many different partners. Rather, she said people need enough time to look closely at themselves even while they are dating. She stressed that it is important to understand what kind of person one is and how one reacts in different kinds of relationships.

Asked about the standards people should use when judging a romantic partner, Shin said people often already know the answer but choose to look away because of their feelings. In many cases, she said, a person has already sensed the signal that the partner may not be right for them. She added that the same applies to friendships: there are relationships that may be enjoyable when people are together, but still do not feel comfortable. Shin advised that fun should not be confused with a healthy relationship.

She also said the physical signals a relationship creates are important. According to Shin, if someone feels sick or excessively exhausted after meeting another person, it may mean they have been trying too hard in that relationship. A person who gives comfort and stability, she said, may ultimately be the more important connection.

Shin Min-a and Kim Woo-bin began dating publicly in 2015. When Kim began treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, Shin remained by his side and continued their relationship. The two married last year.

Lee Young-ji then joked that it would be nice if a future spouse had “I am your husband” written on his forehead.
