Seo Dong-ju Steps Down from Management of Skincare Brand KIANA

Broadcaster and international lawyer Seo Dong-ju announced that she is stepping down from her role as a manager of the skincare brand she co-founded.

On the 22nd, Seo Dong-ju shared on SNS, "I am delivering this news with a heavy heart. I co-founded the skincare brand KIANA in 2024 and have been operating it until now. However, we were ultimately unable to bridge the difference in opinions between the co-founders regarding the future business direction and operations. Despite repeated sufficient conversations and deep consideration, it was difficult to look in the same direction, and we finally decided to respect each other's choices and go our separate ways."

She expressed her regret, saying, "To be honest, I feel very empty and disappointed. This is especially true because I ran with the single-minded desire to introduce truly great products to consumers, even while working without pay and sacrificing sleep. The regret is even greater because we were at a point where we were dreaming of an even bigger future."

She continued, "I believe those times were by no means in vain. I will cherish the things I learned through KIANA, the precious connections I made, and all the moments we shared for a long time. Above all, I sincerely thank the customers who loved and supported KIANA. I will use this time as a stepping stone to greet you again with a more resilient version of myself."

Seo Dong-ju married an entertainment company executive who is four years younger last year and is currently undergoing IVF treatment to have a child.
