Uee shares awkward celebrity encounters at public bathhouses

Actress Uee candidly shared embarrassing anecdotes about the difficulties of living as a celebrity in public bathhouses.

In the tvN STORY variety content 'Table Tales' released on the 20th, Uee was shown sharing relatable bathhouse episodes alongside Se-ri Pak and Lee Young Ja.

During the episode, Pak confessed, "I really love bathhouses, but the most embarrassing moment is when people recognize me and try to talk to me while everyone is naked." She added, "Saying hello is fine, but it was burdensome when people asked to take photos or kept staring, so I couldn't go to a bathhouse for a while."

Uee deeply empathized with this and shared her own experience.

"When I'm sitting in the bathhouse, I can feel someone approaching me from behind," she said, drawing laughter as she noted, "Even if I try hard to look elsewhere, I can feel their presence."

She continued, "When they turn their heads and ask, 'You know who I am, right?' I respond with 'Thank you.' Then they say, 'I know, but I'm pretending not to,' and they scan me from head to toe," which triggered bursts of laughter from the cast.

Lee Young Ja also added a relatable experience as a celebrity.

"They approach us immediately, thinking we are friends. They ask, 'Young Ja, how old are you?' and most of them are younger than me," she said. "When I say, 'I'm two years older,' only then do they start calling me 'Unnie.'"

She joked, "So I tell them, 'Please pretend not to know me in places like this. If you stare that intensely, you'll end up drawing a silhouette of my body,'" making the scene erupt in laughter.

The three concluded their conversation by forming a consensus: while they are grateful for the public's interest, they wish for a little more considerate privacy in personal spaces.
