Yano Shiho on Choo Sung-hoon's menopause and daughter Sarang's puberty: 'It's scary'
Model Yano Shiho shares the honest struggles of parenting a teenage daughter, Choo Sarang, as she navigates puberty alongside Choo Sung-hoon's menopause.
Model Yano Shiho is opening up about her honest struggles as a parent, revealing the changing personality of her daughter, Choo Sarang, who is currently navigating puberty.

In the episode of the KBS2 variety program 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' airing on the 10th, the daily life of Choo Sarang—who was widely loved as a child under the nickname 'Choo-vely'—is showcased as she has grown into a 14-year-old girl experiencing the ups and downs of adolescence.
During the broadcast, Yano makes a phone call to Sarang, who is traveling to Korea. However, she cannot hide her bewilderment at Sarang's blunt response, which is a far cry from her usual self. After the call ends, Sarang calls back and says, "Mom, don't be like that," displaying a side of herself that is quite different from before.
Faced with her daughter's unexpected reaction, Yano confesses her honest feelings, saying, "Choo Sung-hoon is going through menopause, and Sarang is going through puberty. It's really hard between the two of them. Because Sarang is in puberty, it's so scary," drawing both laughter and empathy from viewers.
Later, Yano goes to the airport to personally welcome Sarang. While the mother greets her daughter with joy after seeing her for the first time in a while, Sarang suddenly bursts into tears as soon as she sees her mother's face, surprising everyone.
Flustered by the unexpected situation, Yano explains the emotional volatility of her adolescent daughter, saying, "Sarang's emotional changes are very intense lately. She repeats a cycle of crying, getting angry, then quickly feeling better, and then becoming upset again quite frequently."
In a subsequent interview, Sarang reveals the reason why she shed tears at the airport. It is reported that Yano, learning her daughter's true feelings for the first time, could not hide her surprise at these unexpected inner thoughts.
The production team stated that the broadcast will sincerely capture the growth process of Choo Sarang—who was loved by the public for her bright and lovely appearance on 'The Return of Superman' during her childhood—as she navigates puberty, alongside the realistic concerns of her parents.
Yano married entertainer and former mixed martial artist Choo Sung-hoon in 2009 and had her daughter, Sarang, in 2011. Sarang gained massive popularity through KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' and is now reconnecting with viewers by sharing her new daily life as a teenager.
