Child actor Lee Seo-jeong cut from 'A Wonderful New World' after 'practicing nine lines all night'
Lee Seo-jeong's mother revealed the child actor's scenes in SBS drama 'A Wonderful New World' were cut despite preparing for young Mo Tae-hee.
Child actor Lee Seo-jeong has been fully edited out of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'A Wonderful New World' after, as the Korean title note put it, 'practicing nine lines of dialogue all night.'

The drama has become a hit after surpassing 10 percent in viewership ratings, but a behind-the-scenes story has drawn sympathy: the broadcast will not include the footage filmed by Lee Seo-jeong, a child actor who had completed her scenes for the production.
Recently, Lee Seo-jeong's mother posted photos from her daughter's filming location on social media. In the images, Lee is wearing a hanbok and smiling brightly. She had posed after finishing filming for the role of young Mo Tae-hee, but viewers will not be able to see that appearance in the aired version.
Lee's mother wrote that 'A Wonderful New World' was the project her daughter prepared for and filmed with an excited heart after being the first confirmed pick at the audition for the young Tae-hee role. She explained that, regrettably, Seo-jeong's scenes were removed from the final edit because the production ran over its planned length, meaning they can no longer be seen on television. She added that although it was not as if there were no hurt feelings, the experience still taught her daughter something.
She continued that after the casting was confirmed, Lee Seo-jeong practiced her nine lines of dialogue for a long time, stood in front of the camera on set to act, and met good staff members and actors. Those experiences, she said, became precious memories that no edit could take away. Although one project has passed, Lee is currently filming another. Her mother said she is trying to let go of the disappointment by thinking of it as part of the process of growing.
'A Wonderful New World,' starring Im Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun, is a 14-episode series. Episode 9 is scheduled to air on the 5th at 9:50 p.m.
