Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun Shine in 'Wonderful New World' Following '21st Century Grand Princess Consort' Finale
SBS drama 'Wonderful New World' hits a 9.5% viewership rating as Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun deliver intense performances in a shocking cliffhanger.
As the MBC Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Grand Princess Consort,' which held the number one spot with overwhelming viewership ratings, concluded its run, the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Wonderful New World' has taken its place.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 23rd, the 'Wonderful New World' episode broadcasted the previous day recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 9.5%, breaking its own record once again and looking toward double digits.
In contrast, the follow-up drama for '21st Century Grand Princess Consort,' 'Fifty Percent,' recorded a first-broadcast viewership rating of 4.4% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide).
In 'Wonderful New World,' Cha Se-gye (Heo Nam-jun), having realized his own feelings, confessed his love to Shin Seo-ri (Lim Ji-yeon), but Shin Seo-ri tightly hid her racing heart and pushed Cha Se-gye away.
Thinking that Shin Seo-ri was playing hard to get with him, Cha Se-gye continued his courtship by launching a massive offensive, including coffee truck support, and saying the romantic line, 'As of today, I will exclusively mark your heart.'
After Shin Seo-ri, who boarded a flight to Jeju Island for an advertisement shoot, discovered the unconscious Cha Se-gye and wailed, the ending featured a scene where they both fainted after being electrocuted by the current from a defibrillator, amplifying curiosity for the next episode.
