Baek Ji Young's First Luxury Officetel Flooded, Damaging a 200 Million Won Maybach
Singer Baek Ji Young reveals why she moved from her luxury officetel to an apartment, citing flooding issues that damaged a neighbor's Maybach.
On the 27th, a video titled 'Why did Baek Ji Young, who purchased a luxury mixed-use building 6 years after her debut, move to an older apartment? (25 pyeong, investment value)' was uploaded to Baek Ji Young's YouTube channel.

Baek Ji Young reminisced about her past while at a new house purchased by her staff. Stating that she bought her own home 6 years after her debut, she said, "Back then, I was making so much money that I unconsciously thought I could save up and buy one whenever I decided to."
The first home Baek Ji Young purchased was a luxury officetel. Jung Seokwon, who visited that house during their dating days, remarked on its impracticality, saying, "When we first met, the house had stone floors. It looked extremely luxurious. From the parking lot, it gave off that incredible luxury feeling you see in TV dramas. But the house wasn't as spacious as expected. The living room took up too much unnecessary space."
Later, Baek Ji Young moved to an apartment in Gangnam, and the reason was flooding.
She explained, "There was a major flood, and because the house was built in a European style, the generator was located in the basement instead of being upstairs. As the water rushed in, the power to the basement generator was completely cut off. This led to both power and water outages. From that point on, the property value began to drop."
Furthermore, she mentioned that another resident's vehicle worth 200 million won was flooded. "Because people didn't park in the deepest part of the parking lot, a Maybach was parked there. So it got flooded. I understand they didn't receive compensation. Since it was classified as a natural disaster, compensation was not provided."
