BTS surpasses Beyoncé's record with $465.8 million in 38 shows
BTS's 'ARIRANG' world tour has already eclipsed Beyoncé's annual revenue, generating $465.8 million in ticket sales across just 38 performances.
The return of BTS is doing more than just marking a K-pop comeback; it is reshaping the global concert market. With just 38 shows of their 'ARIRANG' world tour, BTS has amassed $465.8 million (approximately 629.5 billion won) in ticket sales, surpassing the annual record set by Beyoncé, who ranked first in global tour revenue last year. The feat is even more remarkable considering the tour has not yet concluded.

According to cumulative data for the third quarter of 2026 released by industry specialist Pollstar on the 22nd (local time), BTS drew 2,314,140 spectators across 38 performances. Their revenue reached $465.8 million, placing them at the top of the world tour revenue rankings. Considering Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter Tour' topped Pollstar's annual tally last year with $407.6 million from 32 shows, BTS has already surpassed last year's peak with significantly fewer performances.
A particularly striking aspect is the inverse relationship between audience numbers and revenue. While runner-up Bad Bunny recorded $438.6 million with 3.1 million tickets sold, BTS generated higher revenue despite having only approximately 2.31 million spectators. Driven by large-scale stadium shows, high revenue per performance, and premium ticket pricing, BTS is demonstrating massive market value not just through attendance, but through the sheer economic impact of each individual show.
Each BTS concert has functioned as a massive event. At Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, just four shows on May 23, 24, 27, and 28 drew 245,691 attendees and generated $66.6 million (approximately 90 billion won) in ticket sales. The North American tour then moved through Arlington, Toronto, and Chicago before reaching SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. As the Pollstar tally does not include shows held after August 12, the current figures represent only a portion of the total 'ARIRANG' tour results.
The dominance of K-pop is also evident within the genre. In the same rankings, Twice entered the global top 10 alongside BTS, placing 6th worldwide with $157.3 million. This highlights that K-pop is no longer confined to specific regions or the Asian market, but has become a central pillar of the global live music business, competing directly with English-speaking superstars on the same metrics.
Ultimately, BTS's record is far from complete. Because this tally only accounts for performances through August 12, 2026, subsequent shows are not yet reflected. With BTS having already overtaken Beyoncé's $407.6 million mark in just 38 shows, the industry is watching closely to see what final scale the 'ARIRANG' tour will achieve.
