BTS V sparks debate over video of pet on airplane

BTS member V has sparked a wave of reactions regarding in-flight pet regulations after a video he filmed on an airplane was released.

On the 5th, V posted several photos and videos to his SNS with the caption, "It's quite quiet, isn't it? You can cry loudly. Waaa~".

The shared photos include glimpses of him maintaining his fitness during overseas schedules, as well as an access pass issued when he attended the halftime performance of the North and Central America World Cup final. In particular, V's ID photo caught the attention of fans, showcasing his distinct features even in a natural state.

He also drew interest by sharing natural, makeup-free moments from his daily life and comfortable scenes from his accommodations.

However, it was a short video that became the primary topic of conversation.

The footage captures a puppy, appearing to be a pet, moving freely through the airplane aisle. While no passengers were visible in the surrounding seats at the time, various opinions poured in online as the footage showed the dog moving between the seats and the floor.

Some netizens expressed concern, asking, "Shouldn't pets stay inside their carrier on a plane?", "I wonder if they followed the cage regulations", "It's a relief there were no people around", and "I'm worried because it looks like it was walking on the seats".

On the other hand, more cautious opinions emerged, such as, "It could be a private jet", "It might have been filmed after landing", "They likely filmed it after checking the regulations", and "Since we don't know the full situation, it's hard to make a definitive judgment".

Based on the currently released video alone, it has not been confirmed which flight it was, whether the filming took place during the flight or after landing, or whether the dog is actually V's pet.

According to general in-flight pet regulations for major domestic airlines, the combined weight of the pet and the carrier must meet a certain standard (e.g., 9kg or less), and the carrier must meet specific size requirements. Furthermore, it is a standard rule that pets are prohibited from being taken out of their carriers during a flight, and the carrier must be stored under the seat in front.
