Ex-NewJeans member Danielle hits 430,000 subscribers with single video
Former NewJeans member Danielle Marsh's personal YouTube channel reaches 430,000 subscribers in just five days, signaling a strong independent fandom.
Danielle, a former member of NewJeans, has seen her newly established personal YouTube channel surpass 430,000 subscribers just five days after releasing her first video. As the legal dispute surrounding NewJeans and ADOR continues, attention is focused on this milestone as an indicator of how quickly Danielle can build a personal fandom independent of her group activities.

As of 3:00 PM on the 8th, the YouTube channel 'Danielle Marsh' operated by Danielle has recorded approximately 436,000 subscribers. The channel was opened on the 3rd, and the only content released so far is a roughly one-minute video titled 'Detour.' Despite this, attracting hundreds of thousands of subscribers in such a short period reaffirms Danielle's high level of public recognition.
'Detour' was not content featuring flashy performances or new music releases. The video captured Danielle spending daily life in her hometown of Australia, signaling a new journey through relatively simple visuals.
In the video, Danielle stated, "I don't know what will happen in the future or where I will go," adding, "There is only one thing for sure. It is that I am going on my first solo trip."
By mentioning Brisbane and Cairns as travel destinations and expressing her excitement, it is suggested that she may continue to present content centered on travel and daily life through her personal channel.
In particular, the opening of this channel is symbolic in that it puts the individual name 'Danielle Marsh' at the forefront rather than her identity as a NewJeans member. While she presented herself within the collective identity of music, stage, and the team's brand during her idol group activities, the structure has now shifted so that the planning and direction of the content itself depend on her individual choices.
The background of why Danielle's independent path is receiving even more attention lies in the prolonged legal dispute between NewJeans and ADOR. The NewJeans members moved toward independent activities in November 2024, claiming the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR, but the court issued a first-instance ruling in October 2025 that the exclusive contracts remain valid. As the members did not appeal, the ruling was finalized, and some members, excluding Danielle, underwent procedures to return to ADOR.
However, the situation is different for Danielle. After notifying Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract last December, ADOR filed a lawsuit for damages against Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The original claim was approximately 43.09 billion won, but as new legal representatives reviewed the case, the claim was restructured and has been adjusted to approximately 33.09 billion won.
In this lawsuit, ADOR claims that Danielle violated her exclusive contract by conducting independent music and commercial activities and pursuing activities in a form that replaces her existing agency. However, this is an assertion made by ADOR in the ongoing trial, and a final judgment has not yet been rendered by the court.
Regardless of such legal circumstances, Danielle has recently been expanding her connection with the public under her own name. In August, it was reported that she participated in a Liberation Day charity marathon and completed 8.15 km.
It is impossible to conclude the success of her future musical activities based solely on the figure of approximately 436,000 YouTube subscribers. This is because how many subscribers actually translate into music release consumption, concert audiences, or advertising and broadcasting activities is a separate matter. Nevertheless, the fact that she gathered hundreds of thousands of people with just one first video shows that Danielle possesses a significant individual recognition base distinct from the brand of the team NewJeans.
Ultimately, Danielle's YouTube channel holds more meaning than a simple vlog channel. While battles over tens of billions of won in damages continue in court, she is building a new subscriber base under her own name on digital platforms. Regardless of the conclusion of the legal relationship, the key variable for her future moves will be whether Danielle can establish her own path as an independent content creator and artist known as 'Danielle Marsh' rather than 'Danielle of NewJeans.'
