I.O.I Tops Music Charts with Reunion Hit 'Suddenly'

Girl group I.O.I has reached the top of the music charts with their new song 'Suddenly,' released to celebrate their 10th anniversary debut.

As of the morning of the 29th, I.O.I's mini 3rd album title track 'Suddenly' took the number 1 spot on major music charts. After its release on the 19th, the song rapidly climbed the rankings, reaching the top by leveraging its addictive hook, popular melody, and the symbolic significance of their reunion after 10 years.

'Suddenly' is a synth-pop track that delicately captures the lingering traces of longing and memories that arrive unexpectedly. Jeon Somi participated in writing the lyrics, capturing the sincerity of the time they spent together and the tenderness of their reconnected relationship. The chorus, which can be easily sung along to after just one listen, combined with a lyrical yet dreamy sound, is stimulating public emotions and receiving widespread love.

I.O.I is a project group formed through the Mnet audition program 'Produce 101' in 2016. After enjoying explosive popularity for approximately 8 months, the members pursued individual activities.

I.O.I will hold a solo concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul for three days from the 29th to the 31st.
