IVE's Jang Won-young reveals hour-long shower routine after concerts

Jang Won-young of IVE has revealed the strict hygiene routine she follows even after finishing a performance. She explained that she only feels at ease after showering immediately once a concert ends.

A video titled 'Jang Won-young: Nupterview' was recently released on IVE's official YouTube channel. In the video, Jang lies on a hotel bed after completing her world tour performances to answer fan questions about her daily habits.

When asked what she does after a performance, Jang stated, "First, I come to the hotel and go straight to the bathroom," adding, "I cleanse thoroughly and shower for almost one hour."

She explained that she is particularly meticulous about cleanliness. "I am the type of person who absolutely must have my body 100% clean, so I wash and wash again and use scrubs. I consider shower time to be very important," she said.

She also noted that the filming itself, which takes place while lying in bed right after a concert, is a departure from her usual lifestyle. "Actually, lying in bed like this right after a concert is something that wouldn't normally happen, but I lay down once for DIVE's Nupterview," she remarked.

For Jang, showering comes before eating. She explained that even if she is hungry after a performance, she must first clean her body thoroughly to comfortably continue her daily life afterward.

"I return to being a fragrant Won-young, and only then do I use my phone or eat while in a fragrant state," she revealed. "There are people who eat first if they are hungry after it's over, but I am not like that. I feel like I can only do something after my body is absolutely clean."

While Jang meets fans with glamorous performances on stage, she clearly values her personal hygiene routine more than anyone else once the show ends. By detailing her nearly hour-long showers and repetitive cleansing habits, she showcased her thorough approach to self-care.

IVE concluded their North American world tour at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on the 9th (local time). The group is scheduled to continue their world tour in Asia this coming September.
