Kim Hyun Joong finds joy in simple ramen outing after fraud ordeal

Singer Kim Hyun Joong shared a glimpse of his simple daily life, visiting a pop-up event on a scooter to enjoy ramen and ice cream. Interest is growing as he shares this relatively ordinary routine, having endured turbulent times following past personal controversies and suffering multi-billion won fraud damages.

On the 20th, Kim shared an update on his recent activities, stating, "I went to a pop-up event on my scooter for a little outing!" He continued, "Since I was hungry, I had a bowl of ramen and even some sweet ice cream. There was also a lucky draw event where no one loses, so there were many small things to enjoy, and it was more fun than I thought."

In the released photos and videos, Kim toured the pop-up venue and used a so-called "Han River ramen" machine to cook his own meal. He also showed himself heading home on his scooter after enjoying the ice cream and the event.

In particular, he cited the ability to "directly try ramen that is hard to find even in convenience stores or marts these days" as his reason for visiting the venue. While his modest outing stands in stark contrast to the glamorous life of a celebrity, it drew attention for showing his current life without any special staging.

Kim gained high recognition throughout Asia as a member of the group SS501 in the 2000s and drew attention as an actor in works such as "Boys Over Flowers" and "Playful Kiss." However, following an assault dispute with an ex-girlfriend and a paternity suit in 2014, he stood at the center of personal controversies and had to endure negative public perception for a considerable period due to subsequent legal battles.

Recently, he also disclosed his experience with financial loss. Appearing on Seo Yoo-jeong's YouTube channel last May, Kim confessed, "I am top-tier when it comes to being defrauded. I've been scammed a lot. I lost several billion won." He added that he experienced acquaintances he had known since childhood changing, and subsequently fell victim to fraud due to sweet temptations.

Despite past controversies and economic losses, Kim maintains contact with fans through music, broadcasting, and YouTube content. This recent update is seen as a calm depiction of his current life through everyday subjects like a bowl of ramen and a scooter, rather than through any major incidents.
