Koyote's Shin Ji Says, "I Am Like a Viper, and After Three Years With Moon Won I Was Certain"
Koyote member Shin Ji addressed concerns over her marriage to Moon Won on MBN, saying she knew his past and chose him with confidence.
Koyote member Shin Ji, 44, appeared on MBN's variety program "Namui Jip Gwihan Gajok" on June 2 with her husband Moon Won, 37, and spoke directly, through tears, about the concerns and controversy surrounding their marriage.

Shin Ji said, "I am someone with good instincts," and made clear that she decided to marry Moon Won after fully understanding his past. The two dated for a little over two years, entered what was effectively a de facto marital relationship last year, and married this past May.
When their marriage plans were announced last year, concern grew after it became known that Moon Won had been divorced once and had a daughter with his former wife. Many people opposed the marriage in particular after seeing Moon Won's attitude during a formal meeting with Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Bbaekga.
Some also raised suspicions that Moon Won might be trying to use Shin Ji to become famous. On the broadcast, Shin Ji said, "We have been together longer than many people know. During that time, I came to understand how persistent I am and how good my instincts are. I am like a viper. So I asked Moon Won right away, 'Have you been there and back?' I was actually grateful that he told me before we officially began dating that he had been divorced and that he had a child."
She added, "That meant I had the choice. We gave each other time to think, and because I had certainty, there was nothing more to doubt."
Shin Ji eventually broke down in tears after watching an interview with Moon Won that had been conducted without her knowledge. Moon Won said, "Shin Ji is also someone else's precious daughter to me. She has become my family now, but when I see her protecting me instead, I cannot help but want to do better. My wife must have had such a hard time too. She could not tell me then that she had taken medication. Whenever we break up and then meet again, we always start by hugging each other. The feelings we have at that moment say everything for us." His remarks conveyed the strength of their relationship.
