Lee Bo Ram chooses marriage certificate over SeeYa contract

“If you had to choose between a SeeYa contract and a marriage certificate?” Lee Bo Ram did not hesitate for even a single second. Celebrating their 20th anniversary by reuniting as SeeYa, she unexpectedly picked the 'marriage certificate,' turning the scene into a sea of laughter.

Appearing on the SBS Plus show 'Spirit Talk Show: Strange and Mysterious Stories 2' broadcast on the 28th, Lee spoke candidly about everything from SeeYa's activities to her true feelings regarding marriage. Currently reuniting with her members and fans through a 20th-anniversary nationwide tour concert, she expressed her overwhelming emotions, saying, “I am spending every single day happily.”

During the episode, Lee showcased her enduring vocal skills by performing SeeYa's representative song, "Scent of a Woman," live. She also revealed that although she gained popularity quickly after debuting with SeeYa, she went through difficult times for about 10 years afterward. She looked back honestly on the long hiatus, a time when she felt both anxiety and a love-hate relationship with her profession as a singer.

The atmosphere shifted during the fortune-telling segment. Lee asked about her marriage luck, stating, “It was originally my dream to have many children,” to which the shamans replied, “We see marriage luck within three years.” As soon as the topic of marriage arose, Lee's reaction changed.

MC Lee Guk Joo went a step further, asking, “If only one contract luck were to come your way, would you choose a contract related to SeeYa or a marriage certificate?” Without even pretending to deliberate, Lee immediately chose the 'marriage certificate.' Although she has emphasized her affection for SeeYa more than anyone, she was unexpectedly firm when it came to marriage.

When the fortune-telling continued by saying she has strong business luck next year, Lee shouted toward the camera, “I'm sorry, members!” Her act of apologizing to her members for appearing to be greedy for both marriage and business sparked laughter.

Currently, SeeYa is conducting their 20th-anniversary nationwide tour 'THE FAN,' traveling through Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Goyang, Cheongju, Suwon, Incheon, and more. Following the release of her solo single "On the Other Side of the Light" last August, Lee is also expanding her activities into variety shows and YouTube.
