'Miss Trot 3' Na-yul Furious Over Father's Contact After 30 Years

On the MBN program 'Teukjong Sesang' aired on the 14th, trot singer Na-yul revealed her complicated family history, including an estranged father she had been out of contact with for nearly 30 years.

Na-yul shared her current situation, working both performance stages at various events and part-time jobs, and explained why she has persevered so tenaciously: "I felt that if I fell apart, my mother would also suffer."

Her mother revealed that they divorced after her husband's business failure left them with overwhelming debt. Na-yul, who was very young at the time, grew up being raised solely by her mother.

She shared that she first learned she had no father when she was in elementary school, saying, "Before that, my mother told me my dad had gone on a business trip. I thought, why do I have to live in this kind of environment?"

She also revealed that her father, having recently seen her on television, contacted her saying he wanted to see her. She confessed, "When I heard that, I actually became even angrier," admitting that she finds it difficult to accept her father easily.

She also said, "I thought of my father as someone who abandoned his family. It is a wound that remains with me to this day."

Na-yul rose to wide public recognition after appearing on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 3' in 2023.
