Actress Jisoo has shared updates on her new life running a travel agency in Prague, Czech Republic, while directly denying rumors that she has retired from acting.
On the 9th, Jisoo posted photos of her daily life in Prague on social media (SNS) with the caption, "Staring at the sky on a mat in my favorite Petřín Park.'
The photos show Jisoo relaxing leisurely on a mat in a Prague park, where her peaceful presence in nature caught the attention of fans.
Jisoo also reflected on her 30-year career as an actress, noting how she has worked tirelessly. "Even after a project ended, I couldn't fully rest because I kept worrying about the next project and character," she confessed, adding, "It feels like I have always lived as if being chased."
She is currently embracing a new challenge by running a travel agency in Prague. "It's not that I am resting completely, but I am running a company in Prague," Jisoo said, adding, "At times like this, I feel that life is truly worth living."
She also touched upon the practical difficulties of entrepreneurship. "Maintaining a company is not something that can be done with willpower alone, so it is another kind of hardship," she said, but added, "I believe every experience has meaning. There must be a reason for me to be spending this time now."
Expressing satisfaction with her current life, she continued, "To have free and precious time, I must create that time even if I have to push myself now. I am just grateful for the fact that I can enjoy it now."
In particular, Jisoo addressed rumors regarding a hiatus from her acting career. She emphasized, "Through comments or 'Jisoo in Prague,' I frequently receive questions like 'Are you not going to act anymore?' I always answer, 'I haven't retired.'"
Following her appearance in the 2024 JTBC drama "Romance in the House," Jisoo has been taking a break from acting. She moved to Prague in 2024 to begin her life there and established her own travel agency, "Jisoo in Prague," this past March. She is reportedly operating travel packages centered around Prague, Český Krumlov, and Dresden, Germany, while communicating directly with travelers.
Having debuted in 1992, Jisoo has been a consistent presence in dramas and films for three decades. While she is currently pursuing a new path as an entrepreneur in Europe, she made it clear that she plans to continue her acting career.
