RESCENE shows heartfelt fan service with 'gukbap' gift
Girl group RESCENE wins hearts by gifting hearty gukbap to fans during a recent appearance on MBC's The Manager.
Girl group RESCENE has revealed their extraordinary sincerity toward their fans through an unexpected "reverse tribute" of hearty gukbap. Even as they rapidly increase their popularity, their modest and warm fan service, which has continued since their debut, remains unchanged.

In the 410th episode of the MBC entertainment program "The Manager," which aired on the 8th, RESCENE appeared as the first-ever solo guest, revealing everything from their musical activities to their dormitory life and daily routines with fans.
On this day, after finishing a music show pre-recording, RESCENE visited the site in the early morning to personally see off the fans who came to cheer for them. The members handed out small pieces of paper to the fans, and when the contents were revealed, the cast members on set burst into laughter. It was a "gukbap coupon" specifically for the fans.
Kim Hye-soo, a director at RESCENE's agency, explained, "We prepared this reverse tribute with all our hearts because we wanted to repay the fans who came to the pre-recording in the early morning to cheer us on truly."
The menu of the reverse tribute particularly caught people's attention. Rather than flashy desserts or luxury meals, it was gukbap, a dish the members frequently enjoy in their daily lives.
RESCENE had also eaten gukbap for breakfast ahead of the pre-recording. In essence, the members returned their own "soul food" to the fans. As the MCs burst into laughter upon hearing this, Minami and Woni said, "We have been giving out gukbap for a long time," and "We wanted to give them something hearty."
The unique identity of RESCENE was also evident in the gift sent to the fans. Just because they have gained fame does not mean they have changed; they expressed their gratitude by sharing food they love and are familiar with.
RESCENE is a five-member girl group that debuted on March 26, 2024. Recently, they have been rapidly expanding their public recognition, with their music release climbing the charts following the popularity of the "Geoje Yahoo" meme.
Above all, RESCENE's growth process is extraordinary. Following the revelation on "The Manager" of the members living in a cramped dormitory where the five members shared a single bathroom, they drew attention in the broadcast on July 11, which revealed their recent move to a new dormitory measuring a whopping 99 pyeong.
Having grown from a cramped dormitory to moving into a large residence, the way they treat their fans has not changed significantly.
Even behind their flashy success, what they handed to the fans who arrived in the early morning was not a grand gift, but a warm bowl of gukbap. While it might seem modest for a "soaring" girl group's reverse tribute, it was a gift that was quintessentially RESCENE. It was a scene that best showcased their current state as they continue to grow alongside their fans.
