RESCENE tops August singer brand reputation, beating BTS and Lim Young-woong
Girl group RESCENE claims first place in the August singer brand reputation rankings, outperforming global icons BTS and Lim Young-woong.
Girl group RESCENE has risen to the top of the August singer brand reputation rankings, overtaking BTS and Lim Young-woong. The group is drawing significant attention as they have taken the lead in brand competitiveness over global superstars and genre-defining artists, following a steady expansion of their public reach since their debut.

According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute on the 22nd, an analysis of 129,484,511 singer brand big data points over the month starting from the 22nd of last month revealed that RESCENE recorded 1st place in the August singer brand reputation. The total scale of the analysis increased by 19.27% compared to the 108,566,353 points in July.
RESCENE is a five-member group consisting of Woni, LIV, Minami, Kang Hyeju, and ZENA. In this survey, they recorded a participation index of 1,600,484, a media index of 2,298,383, a communication index of 2,332,771, and a community index of 2,345,927, resulting in a total brand reputation index of 8,577,564. This represents a 28.26% increase compared to the 6,687,715 recorded in July.
BTS took 2nd place. The brand reputation index for BTS, consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Park Ji-min, V, and Jung Kook, was tallied at 6,627,924. Although it decreased by 15.45% compared to the previous month, the group maintained its top position fueled by its global fandom.
Lim Young-woong recorded 5,297,180 for 3rd place. This was followed by Cortis in 4th place with 4,142,587, and Ateez in 5th place with 3,490,310.
Other names appearing in the top 30 include Park Ji-hyun, BigBang, Psy, Blackpink, Lee Chan-won, Ive, aespa, Hwasa, Stray Kids, Seventeen, Twice, and Taeyeon. The inclusion of major artists representing various generations and genres showcases the landscape of fandom and public interest currently forming in the domestic music market.
Gu Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, analyzed RESCENE's achievement, stating, "RESCENE, the trend among trends with beloved hits like 'Love Attack,' 'Pretty Girl,' and 'Deja Vu,' has taken 1st place in brand reputation." He further explained that BTS, who are conducting a world tour with global ARMY, ranked 2nd; Lim Young-woong, who is expanding his positive influence alongside Hero Generation, ranked 3rd; and Cortis, who created a culture of enjoying music itself, and Ateez, who garnered attention for their intense performances, recorded 4th and 5th place, respectively.
Brand reputation rankings are not indicators determined solely by music release performance or album sales. They are used as a supplementary indicator to gauge public interest at a specific point in time, as they are calculated by synthesizing brand-related data formed online, such as consumer participation, media exposure, communication, and community activities.
RESCENE surpassing BTS and Lim Young-woong in this survey is interpreted as a result showing that, separate from traditional musical achievements such as music releases or performances, the public interest and fandom cohesion formed online recently have reached a significant level. However, as the brand reputation index does not represent an objective ranking in the music market, it should not be viewed as identical to actual public influence or album and music release achievements.
