Rosé prioritizes BLACKPINK 10th anniversary event

BLACKPINK's Rosé has calmed fan anxieties by confirming her attendance at the group's 10th anniversary celebration. Rumors regarding her potential absence, which surfaced after she was spotted in the United States, have been confirmed as untrue.

On the 7th, Rosé's agency, The Black Label, stated via official SNS, "Rosé has prioritized this schedule for a long time to share this meaningful moment with fans, securing and finalizing all her plans in advance."

The agency continued, "We have also done our best to continuously coordinate so that Rosé can be present at this precious occasion. We ask that you refrain from one-sided speculation or indiscriminate criticism that has not been verified as fact."

On the 5th, local time, Rosé was spotted at a private restaurant in Los Angeles, California. This led some fans to raise the possibility of her absence from the event, noting that she was still in the United States ahead of BLACKPINK's 10th anniversary milestone.

However, the controversy was settled once the agency directly announced her attendance.

Nevertheless, regardless of Rosé's attendance, fans continue to express disappointment regarding the BLACKPINK 10th anniversary event.

While BLACKPINK's agency, YG Entertainment, announced the commemorative event on the 6th—just two days before the 10th anniversary—they provided only the information that it would take place at "a certain location in Seoul on Saturday afternoon, the 8th," rather than specifying a concrete time and place.

In particular, dissatisfaction grew among some fans as the number of attendees was limited to 40 people, and the eligibility for application was restricted to Weverse members who had not used BLACKPINK's membership for over a year.

Most importantly, despite the meaningful nature of the 10th anniversary, voices of disappointment emerged among fans as it was announced that "only some members available due to their schedules will attend," rather than the full group.

BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, with the single album 'SQUARE ONE.' Composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, BLACKPINK instantly established themselves as a representative K-pop girl group by consecutively finding success with their debut tracks "Whistle" and "Boombayah."
