Comedian Lee Jung-soo Gives Up Career for Wife to Become Full-Time Househusband
Comedian Lee Jung-soo reveals his life as a dedicated househusband caring for his two daughters after choosing to support his working wife.
Comedian Lee Jung-soo recently revealed his daily life as a full-time househusband on the YouTube program 'Scoop World - The Man from Back Then.'

Lee Jung-soo skillfully prepared dinner for his two daughters, saying, "Today's menu is stir-fried beef, bell peppers, and onions. When I cook it like this occasionally, they eat it with great excitement. It's fun to set a 15-minute timer so I can cook while feeling rushed."
He warmly welcomed his wife home from work and toasted with a wine glass. His wife, who works as an advertising stylist, expressed her gratitude to her husband, saying, "It's so wonderful. Just being able to come home and not have to worry about the kids' meals immediately feels like I've finished half of my day's work. Honestly, doing housework at home is harder than working outside."
Lee Jung-soo explained his decision: "My wife is earning well now and the children are born, so since I can take good care of the kids, I decided to become a full-time househusband. As the cycle of looking after the children and doing housework repeated, I felt a sense of decline, thinking, 'I used to be a celebrity, what is this?' My self-esteem dropped along with it. However, I think that experience provided me with a very good opportunity. It was a moment where I could look at myself very objectively."
Lee Jung-soo's parenting duties began in the morning when his second daughter woke up. His wife looked relieved, noting, "The kids don't look for me much when they wake up in the morning because their father prepares so much breakfast for them."
She added, "My mother isn't as intense as she used to be, but in the early days of our marriage, whenever she visited our house, she would target my father. She would appeal to him by saying, 'Lee Seo-bang (Son-in-law Lee) is so good to his wife; have you ever washed the dishes or done the laundry for me at this time or on this day?' My father even called and said, 'I can't live because of your husband.'"
Lee Jung-soo shared his mother's expectations, saying, "My mother still sees her son as a superstar from 'Gag Concert.' She wishes for her son to reign as a star celebrity again, though that feeling has lessened over time."
Lee Jung-soo joined KBS as a 17th generation open recruitment comedian in 2002 and gained widespread love through 'Ugyeokdajim' on KBS2's 'Gag Concert.' He married his wife in 2013 and has two daughters.
