Jung Seong-ho faces 'Public Trial' for impersonating 100 celebrities

Comedian Jung Seong-ho is set to stand in court facing an unexpected charge: 'Celebrity Voice Impersonation.' While this is not a real crime but rather a comedic segment titled 'Public Trial' on KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert,' the setup is expected to spotlight Jung's reputation as one of the Republic of Korea's premier masters of impersonation.

In the episode of KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert' airing August 2 at 10:35 PM, Jung will appear as the defendant in 'Public Trial,' playfully showcasing his unique talent.

The charge leveled against Jung is 'Celebrity Voice Impersonation.' Having earned nicknames like 'Human Copier' and 'Voice Thief' for perfectly recreating the voices of numerous stars, he is now having his very talent put on trial.

Jung revealed, "I have impersonated nearly 100 people so far," and immediately demonstrated the voices of actor Han Suk-kyu, singer Im Jae-bum, and broadcaster Seo Kyung-seok.

As he recreated their unique intonations and speech patterns—making them nearly indistinguishable from the originals even in brief moments—the studio was filled with laughter and admiration.

However, Park Seong-ho, playing the role of the prosecutor, instead cornered Jung.
