Lee Hyun-yi recounts being chased by homeless man at City Hall Station
Model Lee Hyun-yi shares a startling college memory of being attacked with a shoe by a homeless person at Seoul's City Hall Station.
Model Lee Hyun-yi revealed a bizarre incident she experienced at Seoul City Hall Station during her college years. Even for her, who has always been in the spotlight moving between glamorous runways and television broadcasts, there was a "Seoul memory" that remains dizzying just to think about.

On the 8th, a video titled "A Soy Milk Noodle Lover's Summer Delicacy: Visiting Famous Soy Milk Noodle Restaurants (Salt vs. Sugar)" was released on Lee's YouTube channel. While visiting various famous soy milk noodle restaurants across Seoul to enjoy the summer delicacy, she shared an unexpected anecdote from her college days while chatting with the production crew.
Since Lee had been traveling all over Seoul while balancing her modeling career since her time at Ewha Womans University, the production crew asked if she had any special memories related to the City Hall area. Upon reflecting on the past, Lee brought up the absurd incident that occurred at City Hall Station.
Recalling the time, Lee said, "It was a rainy day back then. I was walking in flip-flops when I was a college student." The problem was her shoes; every time she walked on the wet floor and stairs, her flip-flops made a distinct sound that echoed loudly in the underground space.
Coincidentally, a person was sleeping near the exit. "As luck would have it, someone was sleeping near the exit. Because I was making noise while walking down, that homeless person woke up," Lee explained.
Then, an unexpected situation unfolded.
"That person threw the shoe they were wearing at me. They started chasing me, trying to hit me because I was being noisy," Lee said. While the college student was simply walking down the stairs, a shoe suddenly flew toward her, followed by a chase.
Recalling the tense moment, she shared the not-so-funny memory, saying, "I ran away in a total panic."
While it might have been an insignificant day for someone else, for Lee, it became a scene at City Hall Station that has remained in her memory for a long time. Behind her glamorous life as a model, unexpected incidents and memories of ordinary daily life have been layered together.
Lee is currently communicating with the public through her activities as both a model and a broadcaster. On this day, she revealed her honest and cheerful charm by bringing up past memories amidst the small daily routine of visiting soy milk noodle restaurants.
