Hong Jin-kyung and Lee So Ra Reconcile After 15 Years: Eom Jeong-hwa Moved to Tears
Hong Jin-kyung and Lee So Ra end a 15-year estrangement on MBC's 'So Ra and Jin-kyung,' sharing an emotional reunion witnessed by Eom Jeong-hwa.
On the 7th, during the MBC entertainment program 'So Ra and Jin-kyung,' former model and broadcaster Lee So Ra and Hong Jin-kyung opened up about their past estrangement that lasted 15 years and promised to return to being lifelong friends.
In a preview of the next episode, upon receiving support from Lee So Ra, Hong Jin-kyung revealed emotions she had buried for a long time, shedding tears while saying, "As the past comes back to me, I am crying. I think we went through so many things. So many painful things." Lee So Ra empathized with Hong Jin-kyung's tears, stating, "It was so difficult to open up those wounds."
Lee So Ra and Hong Jin-kyung's close friend, Eom Jeong-hwa, also shed tears while watching this conversation via VCR.
When Hong Jin-kyung reached out her hand and said, "Whether it is good news or hard news, let's be together from now on," Lee So Ra responded, "Thank you."
Lee So Ra and Hong Jin-kyung were once the representative best friends in the entertainment industry, being closest to the late Choi Jin-sil, Jeong Seon-hui, Lee Young Ja, Eom Jeong-hwa, and Choi Hwa-jung. However, they naturally drifted apart after Choi Jin-sil passed away in 2008. The two reunited after 15 years through 'So Ra and Jin-kyung,' and using this as an opportunity, they stood side by side at the wedding of the late Choi Jin-sil's daughter, Choi Jun Hee, held on May 16.
