'I Am SOLO' Season 31's Yeong-suk: "I Can Put On a Spurt When There Is One Lap Left"
On the May 27 broadcast of SBS Plus and ENA's 'I Am SOLO,' Season 31's Yeong-suk made a late appeal to Gyeong-su as Ok-sun spoke bluntly about Sun-ja.
On May 27, SBS Plus and ENA's variety program 'I Am SOLO' showed Season 31 contestant Ok-sun opening up about her uncomfortable relationship with Sun-ja. The episode also followed the tense aftermath of the final date choices, as Yeong-suk explained to Gyeong-su why she had not stepped forward for him.

Gyeong-su asked Yeong-suk, who had not chosen him for the final date, "Why didn't you come out?" Yeong-suk replied by laying out the pressure she had felt in the moment. "I thought all three of us would become uncomfortable," she said. "How could I talk about my feelings when I was standing side by side with Sun-ja? Didn't you tell me to compare well?" Her answer framed her absence not as indifference, but as an attempt to avoid making the situation openly awkward in front of Sun-ja.
Yeong-suk then shared what she had been thinking while watching Gyeong-su and Sun-ja. She said that because the mood between him and Sun-ja during the super date had not been bad, she felt he had continued staying close to Sun-ja while thinking, "Sun-ja is my person." Gyeong-su asked her directly, "Do you want my happiness?" Yeong-suk answered, "That's not it," making clear that her consideration did not mean she wanted to step aside emotionally.
Yeong-suk continued by explaining the calculation behind her choice. "I thought that if I got out of the way for a moment, you could have an enjoyable time," she said. "I thought that even if I didn't go on a date right there, I could arrange separate time." Gyeong-su asked, "Did you think there would be a next time?" Yeong-suk responded confidently, "It isn't the final choice yet." Her answer showed that she still believed there was time left to change the flow before the end.
When Yeong-suk said she was cold, Gyeong-su took off his own outerwear and gave it to her. Yeong-suk responded with a forward attitude, saying, "I want to go wearing this." Watching the exchange, Song Hae-na could not hide her anger and said, "That man is a problem too." Lee Yi-kyung also sharply pointed out Gyeong-su's indecisiveness, saying, "There is no period at the end of Gyeong-su's sentences."
Yeong-suk then made a direct appeal about her feelings for Gyeong-su. "You can put on a spurt when there is one lap left," she said. "I have one day left. Can't I raise the spurt then? Isn't it true that I keep staying on your mind?" Gyeong-su admitted that her words had shaken him. "If you give up, it's over, but because she spoke that way, I became bothered by it," he said.
Later, a girls' talk took place at the women's lodging among Yeong-suk, Ok-sun, and Jeong-hui. They closed the door because they were worried Sun-ja might hear them, but Sun-ja was able to hear everything they said.
Yeong-suk told the others, "Gyeong-su started a conversation with me because he was curious when he saw me sitting there. I thought about so many things." Jeong-hui replied, "We thought you would definitely get up. Why didn't you get up? If anything, Sun-ja over there is anxious." Ok-sun also agreed, saying, "Let that side take care of that side." Their conversation showed that Yeong-suk's decision not to rise had become a point of concern inside the women's lodging as well.
Ok-sun asked Yeong-suk, "Gyeong-su said he would tell you his feelings by tonight. Did you hear an answer?" Yeong-suk answered, "He didn't say it was one of the two of us." That response led Ok-sun to speak even more bluntly about how she saw Gyeong-su's attitude toward both women.
Ok-sun said, "Then stop talking about it. He is playing with both of you. That person has not made a choice. Gyeong-su doesn't like either of you. I can feel that. When a person likes someone, they want to be only with that person. If you want to make a relationship, choose tomorrow. And contact him. Sun-ja may not be able to contact him because she could fall into despair. But that is none of your concern. To be honest, among the cast members, there are people who do not meet afterward. That is natural." Her long explanation urged Yeong-suk to judge the situation by Gyeong-su's actions rather than wait indefinitely for a clearer answer.
Ok-sun then added another piece of advice, pointing to the emotional distance that had formed among them. "She will feel disappointed in us," Ok-sun said. "Because we have lent you all the clothes and things, things are awkward. An emotional rift has formed. Think only about yourself, unnie." With that, Ok-sun encouraged Yeong-suk to focus on her own decision as the final stage approached.
