Jang Sung-kyu Responds Generously to Late-Night Abusive DM from Local Acquaintance

Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu posted an abusive message he received in the early morning hours along with an apology on SNS.

On the 14th, Jang Sung-kyu revealed a DM (Direct Message) sent to him on his SNS, stating, "I wondered what kind of disaster this was at four in the morning, but my heart softened because it was a younger acquaintance who knew how to apologize after sobering up."

An anonymous individual, identifying themselves as a 'local resident,' sent an abusive message filled with intense emotions, saying, "Live so that you are not ashamed of your children," "Live while protecting your pride as a man rather than money," and "The 2030 generation is shedding tears of blood right now."

Upon receiving the unexpected message, Jang Sung-kyu reacted with confusion, asking, "Huh? A local younger brother is doing this to me?" A few hours later, that same individual sent an apology to Jang Sung-kyu.

The sender bowed in apology, saying, "I drank too much. I am sorry, hyungnim. I was venting because I was upset. I support you. I am sorry." They continued to apologize repeatedly, stating, "I didn't know if you would reply, so I just spat out insults. I crossed the line. I am sorry. Please be happy."

Jang Sung-kyu showed his generosity as an older brother, saying, "Sure, that can happen when drunk. I tried to ignore it if possible, but since he is a local younger brother, I couldn't just pass it by. If I see you on the street, say hello."

Jang Sung-kyu married a non-celebrity in 2014 and has two sons. In August 2021, he purchased a building located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 6.5 billion won, and it is currently known to be worth over 10 billion won.
