'Jeonseorui Sanae' hits 4.5% peak, ranks 1st in time slot

MBN's new music variety show 'Jeonseorui Sanae' made a successful debut, capturing both high viewership ratings and significant buzz from its first broadcast. Following the departure of Kim Dae-ho, the program introduced Jang Min-ho and Yang Se-hyung as the new MCs. The show drew praise from viewers for its intense team battles and solid stage performances, ultimately ranking 1st in its time slot.

In the premiere of MBN's 'Jeonseorui Sanae' aired on the 15th, the TOP7 from 'Unknown Legend-Trot Men's Hierarchy War' were divided into two teams and engaged in a full-scale competition to reach the top of the 'Mission Top.'

The broadcast recorded an average viewership rating of 4.1% and a peak viewership rating of 4.5% based on Nielsen Korea's paid television households, taking 1st place across all channels in its time slot. The show is being evaluated as having increased its potential for long-term success by securing stable viewership ratings from its very first episode.

This season prominently features a generational showdown between the YB team and the OB team. The YB team consists of Sung-ri, Haru Lee, Hwang Yunsung, and Jung Yeon-ho, while the OB team includes Jang Han-byeol, Lee Changmin, and Irune, as they compete in missions assigned to each level.

In the 'Ace Match' that closed the program, Sung-ri, the first winner of 'Unknown Legend,' faced off against Jang Han-byeol, a former TOP3 member. After a fierce battle, Sung-ri secured a victory by a single vote, dramatically balancing the YB team's standing, and both teams ultimately accepted a final draw.

The new chemistry between hosts Jang Min-ho and Yang Se-hyung, stepping in after Kim Dae-ho's departure, drew significant attention.

Jang Min-ho utilized his expertise and steady hosting skills as a trot singer to naturally ease the tension among participants, while Yang Se-hyung added variety-show flair with his characteristic wit and quick reactions, creating a balanced hosting dynamic.

The broadcast opened with a powerful group greeting from the TOP7 and a collaborative performance of Na Hoon-A's representative song 'Sanae.' Additionally, Cho Jung-min, Kim Da-hyun, Yoyomi, Han Bom, and Doori joined as the 'Female Judges' panel, providing even more diverse entertainment.

In the first mission, 'Preemptive Strike,' the YB team showcased a young and cheerful charm by selecting Noh Ji-hoon's 'Finger Heart,' while the OB team demonstrated seasoned stage presence through Bae Il-ho's 'Will You Come, Should I Go.' The judgment resulted in a victory for the YB team.

In the subsequent 'Revenge Match' mission, tension rose as participants' past connections clashed again on stage.

Sung-ri directly nominated Lee Changmin, who had dealt him his first defeat in a past death match, calling him "the person who gave me the greatest ordeal on the road to becoming a legend." After a tight contest, Sung-ri succeeded in his revenge with a score of 3 to 2.

Jang Han-byeol also succeeded in his revenge by choosing Jung Yeon-ho, who had pushed him to the brink of elimination twice, and the 'Revenge Match' concluded in a draw between the two teams.

In the following duet mission, Jang Han-byeol and Cho Jung-min caught eyes with a unique, sultry trot stage. Haru Lee and Kim Da-hyun received praise for reinterpreting Nam Baek-song and Shim Yeon-ok's 'Telephone Communication' with a retro sensibility, but the final victory went to the OB team.

In the 'Ace Match,' the program's highlight, Sung-ri and Jang Han-byeol engaged in their first head-to-head showdown.

Jang Han-byeol expressed confidence, saying, "I will defeat the number one today and become a new legend," to which Sung-ri responded, "I will prove through my stage why I am number one." After intense competition, Sung-ri won by a single vote, saving the YB team from defeat, and the final result was a draw.
