Ji Ye-eun and Vata to marry Dec. 12 after one year of dating
Actress Ji Ye-eun and dancer Vata are set to wed on Dec. 12, just eight months after going public with their relationship.
Actress Ji Ye-eun (32) and dancer Vata (32, Kim Tae Hyun) will marry on Dec. 12. Attention from the entertainment industry is pouring in as the two, who have been active in their respective fields across broadcasts and stages, are set to marry approximately eight months after revealing their relationship.

Ji Ye-eun and Vata will exchange wedding vows at an undisclosed location in Seoul on Dec. 12. The two have been dating for about one year, and despite the relatively short dating period, they reportedly decided to marry based on their mutual certainty and affection for one another. They have already informed close acquaintances of the news and are receiving congratulations.
Their relationship was first made public last April. At the time, both sides acknowledged the relationship, stating, “The two, who have been close as colleagues, are seeing each other with good feelings.” Even after starting their public relationship, the two showed their natural affection for each other through broadcasts and various content, never hiding their feelings.
The two also share a common denominator in their faith. It is reported that they first met at church and grew closer while continuing their religious lives together. Ji Ye-eun has previously shared her deep connection to faith on broadcasts, mentioning that her mother is a church deaconess and that she herself has served as a middle school youth group teacher.
Ji Ye-eun has also expressed her affection for Vata publicly. She remarked, “There aren't many people these days who don't drink or smoke, but Vata quit after finding faith,” adding, “He is incredibly kind.” She further revealed her special affection for her partner by mentioning that Vata is learning how to cook for her.
The connection between the two naturally extended to the stage as well. When the project group Chungju Ji-ssi, formed by Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun last year, took the stage at 'Waterbomb Festival Seoul 2025,' Vata had completed the choreography for 'Milkshake.' The relationship between the two, which evolved from colleagues met through broadcasting to actual lovers, has created touchpoints even in the professional realms of work and performance.
In May, Ji Ye-eun also couldn't hide her affection when mentioning Vata on the YouTube content 'Just an Excuse.' When asked how she usually calls her partner, she blushed while answering, “Puppy? He calls me that,” or “Baby.” Unlike her unrestrained wit shown in variety shows, her shy demeanor when the topic of dating arose delivered their relationship to the public in a friendly and relatable way.
Ji Ye-eun began her acting career in 2017 with the web drama 'How To' and significantly increased her public recognition through Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea.' Since then, she has established herself as a next-generation variety actress, showcasing her unique quick-wittedness and character portrayal in various variety shows and content such as SBS 'Running Man,' Coupang Play's 'Office Workers,' and Netflix's 'Crazy Kianjang' and 'Yoo Jae Suk Camp.'
Vata made a name for himself as the leader of the representative Korean dance crew We Dem Boyz. He gained public recognition in 2022 when he led We Dem Boyz to a runner-up finish on Mnet's 'Street Man Fighter,' and subsequently expanded his field of activity as a choreographer and performer. Last year, he demonstrated his presence on the K-pop stage by handling the choreography for BLACKPINK's JENNIE's 'like JENNIE,' and he continues to meet fans through crew activities and various festival stages.
Vata, who delivers intense performances on stage, and Ji Ye-eun, who has radiated unique wit and quirky charm in variety shows, have grown their relationship through the mediums of faith and work despite their different fields of activity. In particular, as they have naturally expressed their affection while respecting each other's professional activities even after revealing their relationship, this marriage is expected to become a new stage of life for the two.
Having established themselves as a representative public dating couple in the entertainment industry by announcing their marriage only about eight months after revealing their relationship, attention is focused on how Ji Ye-eun and Vata, who will expand their relationship from lovers to a married couple through their wedding on Dec. 12, will harmonize their respective professional activities and family life in the future.
