Jo Se Ho signals comeback after 8-month hiatus following controversy

Comedian Jo Se Ho has signaled a full-scale return to broadcasting, sharing an update with the public for the first time in approximately eight months following controversies that surfaced last year.

On the 7th, Jo posted several photos on his SNS, stating, "It has been a very long time since I've greeted you through Instagram. I have returned with 'Draiver' Season 6. We have prepared this season to be fun, so please show us a lot of interest."

The released photos capture the filming site of the Netflix variety show 'Draiver' Season 6. Jo is seen smiling brightly alongside the cast, raising expectations for his return with his signature cheerful energy.

The post is garnering significant attention as it marks Jo's first public appearance since the controversy that erupted late last year.

At the end of last year, rumors of his alleged involvement with organized crime spread online, claiming he had a close relationship with an individual identified as Mr. A, who was known to be a former gang member.

As the controversy grew, Jo released a direct statement through his SNS in December last year.

At the time, he explained, "I sincerely apologize for causing disappointment to many people. The various suspicions raised due to that relationship, as you may worry about, are not true at all."

He continued to express his apologies to the public, saying, "I am deeply reflecting on the fact that I, someone who should provide laughter and comfort, have instead caused discomfort and disappointment."

Following this, Jo significantly reduced his broadcasting activities by stepping down from his roles as a fixed cast member on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '2 Days and 1 Night.'

However, he maintained his presence in the industry by continuing his appearance in the Netflix variety show 'Draiver.'

Even while minimizing his broadcast appearances, he maintained strong ties with his colleagues. In February, Jo served as the master of ceremonies for the wedding of his close colleague Nam Chang-hee, and in May, he showed his unwavering loyalty by officiating Choi Jun Hee's wedding.
