Comedian Jo Se-ho served as the MC at the wedding of influencer Choi Jun-hee — daughter of the late actress Choi Jin-sil — and her non-celebrity partner, who is 11 years her senior, held on the 16th.
Late last year, Jo Se-ho was embroiled in controversy after allegations spread online that he had ties to organized crime. He later issued an apology, but as public opinion failed to settle, he stepped down from regular appearances on programs including tvN's You Quiz on the Block and KBS2's 2 Days & 1 Night.
Even so, he appeared as the emcee at Choi Jun-hee's wedding, and photos of him were shared on guests' SNS accounts. He appeared to have gained a little weight, seemingly due to his time away from activities.
At the wedding, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee So-ra, Uhm Jung-hwa, and Lee Young-ja — all close friends of the late Choi Jin-sil — attended and played the role of aunts to the bride.
Dressed in a black suit and stepping up to the podium, Jo Se-ho said, "Please welcome the groom with a warm round of applause," smoothly carrying on with the proceedings.
