Comedian Shin Gi-ru has humorously addressed rumors regarding the use of the weight loss drug Mounjaro after recent photos of her looking significantly slimmer went viral.
On the 6th, Shin posted several photos to her SNS, adding the captions, "I photoshopped my body to the point of almost cutting pieces out," and "No misunderstandings about Mounjaro.'
In the photos, Shin strikes various poses while holding luxury bags. Her noticeably slimmer silhouette and elongated proportions caught the attention of netizens, sparking comments such as, "Did she lose a lot of weight?"
As weight loss via the obesity treatment Mounjaro has become a frequent topic in the entertainment industry, some speculated that Shin might have also used the medication.
Shin quickly dismissed the suspicions through her posts and comments. She wittily explained, "The photos look thin because U-gyeong and Choi Hyun Jung took them from such a low angle they were almost lying on the floor," adding, "I haven't lost even 1g of weight. Please do not misunderstand."
