On the 323rd episode of KBS 2TV's 'Problem Child in House' aired on the 7th, Jung and Oh Ha-young, the leads of the Netflix original series 'This F***ing Love,' appeared as guests.

During the broadcast, MC Hong Jin-kyung mentioned Jung's representative work, the JTBC drama 'Something in the Rain' (2018). At the time, Jung showcased realistic romantic chemistry with Son Ye Jin, who is six years his senior, instantly earning him the nickname 'Nation's Younger Man.'

Hong specifically brought up a scene that has been discussed online for a long time. She asked, "There is a scene that made my heart flutter while watching Jung Hae-in's acting. In 'Something in the Rain,' the clip of you laughing while drunk has circulated a lot as a meme. Were you really drunk back then?"

Jung's answer was unexpected.

He revealed, "I actually drank alcohol and filmed it," adding, "After having a few glasses, the intoxication kicked in, so I told the director, 'I'm going for it,' and filmed it."

The scene in question was the drunken kiss with Son Ye Jin. Because the actor actually filmed while under the influence, the subtle intoxication and natural expressions on screen were captured with even greater realism. He noted that acting was an opportunity to discover new possibilities for himself, as he had a reserved and quiet personality. Jung recalled, "I was originally a very introverted and quiet person, but acting allowed me to express myself and relieve stress. It was strange to see myself stepping out in front of others, and I felt a sense of catharsis."

He was 26 years old when he debuted. It was a relatively late start.

Jung confessed, "I didn't even attend an acting academy during middle or high school. So it was extremely difficult, and I worked even more fiercely." He explained that starting later than others actually became the driving force that made him more intense.

A reliable supporter during that process was veteran actress Kim Hae-suk. The two worked together in a mother-son relationship in the drama 'Yes, That's Right' (2016).

Recalling those days, Jung said, "I played her son, and she took great care of me and taught me how to act." It is said that Kim even invited him to her home to cook for him personally and conducted one-on-one script readings.

However, her teachings were by no means just gentle.

Jung revealed, "Senior was very scary and strict. Because I was quite lacking and couldn't keep up, there was a time during practice when she said, 'I'm not teaching you anymore. Get out.'"

But he did not back down.

"But how could I leave? I just endured it," said Jung, who still remembers the words Kim spoke to him at the time.

"You have to do well for me to survive too. Acting isn't something I have to do well alone. Let's do well together."
