On the 15th, on MBC's I Live Alone, Kim Shin-young — who has endeared herself to audiences again after experiencing a yo-yo weight rebound — brought big laughs with a restorative health food mukbang.

Kim Shin-young's Eating Philosophy After Weight Regain on 'I Live Alone'

Kim Shin-young finished her radio broadcast, came home, and revealed her "homebody routine." The "best one minute" segment featured a scene in which she, while suffering from laryngitis, demolished an entire bowl of mashed strawberries in an instant, calling it a health tonic. The episode's peak viewership rating reached 6.3%.

Having previously shown "the gold standard of a homebody" on the Rainbow Live segment, she this time unveiled her after-work routine. Saying she had been struggling with laryngitis for a month, she moved without a moment's rest from the second she arrived home.

Heading to the bathroom, she kicked things off with a "self-haircut" she said she has been giving herself for ten years, then grabbed a rag and threw herself into cleaning the toilet, sink, shower booth, and bathtub. She revealed, "Every time I use the toilet for a number two, I clean it," sharing her bathroom cleaning routine of two to three times a week.

She then enjoyed a full course of health foods to fight off her laryngitis. Starting with a bowl of mashed strawberries, she worked through tteokbokki made with glass noodles, fish cake, and rice cakes, gimbap rolled with stir-fried anchovies, and finally ice cream with crushed potato chips mixed in, completing what she considered a perfect restorative course meal.

She shared her personal health food philosophy, declaring, "When you're sick, you have to eat. What I like is the real health food. I absolutely must have glass noodles at least once a day."

While enjoying her health food spread, she found she could no longer taste anything because of her swollen nasal passages, so she set down her chopsticks and said, "You have to put it down with conviction," then stored the remaining food in the refrigerator.

She went on to share her personal convictions: "Being sick is sad, but being lazy is even sadder. If you wallow in self-pity, you become someone who only feels sorry for themselves. Who's going to wash your socks? Sad Shin-young has to wash them herself. You have to come back to reality. When you're sick, go to the hospital, get an IV drip, do something. I put up with it because I'm an adult. It's not about acting your age — it's about behaving with dignity. You have to live boldly on your own two feet. When you're sick, you have to eat with gusto."
