Kim Ttol-ttol: "Gay couples' secret dating makes breaking up easy"

Broadcaster Kim Ttol-ttol has candidly shared his reasons for desiring marriage as a member of a same-sex couple. Highlighting the reality that many LGBTQ+ couples cannot disclose their relationships, he expressed a desire for relationship stability through legal and social systems.

On the 15th, Kim appeared on the YouTube channel 'Annyeonghan Saem-yo' to discuss the topic of marriage with actor Jeong-hyeok.

During the appearance, Kim opened the conversation regarding what motivates gay individuals to dream of marriage, stating, "Most gay couples engage in secret relationships."

He remarked, "Since we meet secretly just between the two of us, it is also easy for the relationship to end," adding, "There is even a saying that it is hard for gay couples to last more than a year."

He further explained, "In heterosexual couples, people around them know about the relationship, and when they marry, there are often many responsibilities such as family or children, which leads many to strive to maintain the relationship."

He then confessed, "I also have a desire to be connected to one another in that kind of way."

Upon hearing this, Jeong-hyeok asked, "So is that why you want to marry in areas where legal systems are necessary?" He then joked, "And when you divorce, you split the assets 50/50," drawing laughter.

Kim also laughed and agreed, saying, "That's right. I want to be intensely intertwined," adding, "I wish the relationship would continue to the point where it becomes a bit difficult when breaking up."
