Lee Seon-jeong sells luxury goods to make a living

Broadcaster Lee Seon-jeong has revealed that despite her glamorous collection of luxury goods, she is facing financial difficulties due to a decline in her broadcasting career. She shared that she is currently disposing of luxury clothing and bags from her peak years and helping at her mother's restaurant during periods without work.

On the 7th, a video titled '48kg Maintainer Lee Seon-jeong's Home Training & Closet Secrets Revealed' was released on the YouTube channel 'Lee Seon-jeong's Selection.'

In the video, Lee showed her home, where she lives with four pet dogs. After introducing her refrigerator and living space, she demonstrated how she maintains her weight of 48kg through consistent exercise.

Her closet drew significant attention. Lee personally revealed luxury jackets and shoes, including high-end pieces from brand C. When asked by the production crew about her favorite brand, she named brand H.

However, contrary to her glamorous closet, her reaction was unexpected. While showing an H brand jacket and noting, "Only one of these was brought into our country," she confessed, "I can't buy them because I have no money."

When the production crew asked if she should sell her items, Lee replied, "I can't buy luxury goods anymore because I have no money," adding, "I sold several H brand bags. I think I'll have to sell more."

The luxury items she purchased during her most active broadcasting years have become assets she must sell due to economic necessity. Lee also touched on the bittersweet reality of her diminished career, noting, "I want to wear them when I go on broadcasts, but I can't wear them because I'm not being cast."

As her television appearances have significantly decreased over the past few years, Lee has been sharing her daily life through YouTube. In previous content, she revealed that she helped at her mother's restaurant during a two-year hiatus.

"When there was no work, I came out to help at my mom's shop," Lee said. "Since there is almost no work lately, I've been coming out almost every day." Rather than remaining idle, she has been supporting her family by assisting with kitchen work.

Lee first rose to fame through the 1990s MBC sitcom 'Three Guys and Three Girls.' She later gained widespread popularity for her unique personality while performing as 'Mambo Girl' in the hit song 'Poverty in the midst of abundance' by singer Kim Bu-yong.

Her personal life has also been a subject of public interest. In 2012, Lee filed for marriage just 45 days after she began dating broadcaster LJ, but the marriage was short-lived. The two underwent a mutual divorce approximately 2.5 months after filing for marriage.

Once a prominent figure in Korean popular culture, Lee is now navigating life through YouTube and restaurant work. Her decision to be transparent about her changed economic circumstances and the need to sell luxury bags has drawn significant attention.
