Lee Tae-ran opens up about 13-year childless marriage and husband

Actress Lee Tae-ran will share candid stories ranging from the realities of her 13-year marriage to the aftermath of playing a villain and the behind-the-scenes of her YouTube channel.

On the MBC variety show 'Radio Star' airing on the 5th, actors Choi Won-young, Lee Tae-ran, Bada, and Martin will appear to showcase their witty conversation.

Lee confessed that she usually feels a great deal of pressure when appearing on variety shows. She revealed that she did not make the decision to appear this time easily, but changed her mind after hearing that Choi Won-young, with whom she played a married couple in the drama 'SKY Castle', would also be appearing.

"I was so curious about Won-young and wanted to see him after a long time, so I decided to appear," she confessed.

She also revealed that she experienced unexpected repercussions after recently playing a selfish and harsh villain in the drama 'Our Golden Days'. As she had mainly played roles with kind and warm images in the past, she noted that viewers' reactions have completely changed.

Lee shared with a laugh, "People around me kept asking, 'Are you actually like that?' or 'Is that your real personality?' and I even heard people say, 'Do you have psychopathic tendencies?'"

At the same time, she said, "I always felt the pressure to only play good people, but through this work, I was able to let go of that burden a little."

She also disclosed details about her YouTube channel, 'Actress Lee Tae-ran, the Wife Who Reads Books'. She explained that she started the channel with the goal of steadily donating the proceeds, but since the revenue has not met expectations, she is currently continuing her donations by adding her own personal funds every six months.

In particular, she shared an unexpected concern regarding the channel name.

Although the channel name is 'Actress Lee Tae-ran, the Wife Who Reads Books', her husband hardly watches her videos these days. Lee expressed her disappointment, saying, "My husband's reaction isn't what it used to be, so I am contemplating whether I should change the channel name."

She also revealed how she, who used to hate exercising, became obsessed with K-pop dance. She stated, "I didn't want to exercise, but while looking for a fun way to move my body, I started learning K-pop dance," and revealed that she now takes classes consistently once a week.

In this broadcast, she is also expected to show a surprising charm by personally attempting the 'Young KK Challenge' alongside fellow guest Martin.

Lee married a younger businessman in 2014 and is marking her 13th year of marriage this year. She currently has no children.
